Optical Calcite is also known as Iceland Spar, as it was originally discovered in Iceland. It is naturally clear, double refractive, is a rhombohedron formation, and historically, is fascinating. It was used in World War 2 in optical equipment for gunners and bombardiers to make accurate bombing raids. These pieces are clear, and a few may have rainbows.
