This one-of-a-kind Clear Quartz point comes from the Himal Ganesh range of Nepal, and it’s the kind of crystal I could spend ages turning in the light. The transparent areas reveal striking dark inclusions, green mineral details, and warm-toned features within the quartz. Its natural form is fascinating from top to bottom, especially the self-healed base.
Self-healing is a natural crystal-growth feature: after an earlier break or interruption, new tiny crystal faces develop over the affected area. I love that this piece tells part of its geological story right on its base. The inclusions are reported as carbon, green chlorite, and goethite. One or two sides have a milky-ish surface.

One reason I value these Himalayan pieces is the relationship behind them. My supplier directly supports families who hand-collect crystals in the high mountains, providing fair wages for their work. Reaching the collecting areas can take days. My supplier explains that the collection window is roughly eight weeks a year, when seasonal snow recedes enough to allow access to areas around 5,500 meters (about 18,000 feet). The high altitude and challenging terrain make this a demanding, highly seasonal journey. It’s demanding work, and I appreciate the people and care involved in bringing these remarkable crystals to collectors.
